Pearl barley is made by removing hull and bran from barley grain. It cooks faster and doesn't have rubbery texture like less processed forms of barley. Barley is a good source of protein, dietary fiber and Manganese. It also contains an essential amino acid lysine which helps to support the immune system.
Pearl barley is used to make stews and soups.
